Boiler Control Conversion

Imagine two 1940's era Industrial boilers controlled by local outdated controllers switches and pushbuttons; in 1940 you were also allowed to light a boiler locally. We were able to replace the outdated controls and also provide a remote control station for remote operation and inspection of the equipment. (See picture above right).

This new control system was also integrated into the site control system and site HMI (Human Machine Interface).

The boiler underwent a facelift, and we can hope it will be in operation another 60 years.

Naval Air Station Critical Gate Control

We were asked to find a solution to operate a critical runway gate located on a South Texas Military base. The gate operator was inoperable causing site personnel to manually open and close the gate.

The gate allowed for military aircraft to enter the secured airfield while having to cross a main traffic route.

We installed a simple control system with remote access at the Hanger, and at the air control tower.

The pilots can radio the tower to open the gate, and the automated traffic system holds back the traffic until the plane is safely across the intersection. A simple cost effective solution.
